What does "refurbished" mean?
At tier1, we test every device using our in-house refurbishment facilities, so that anything you buy from us, is to an excellent standard, but for a cheaper price than buying brand new.
Every refurbished item we sell is thoroughly tested by our highly trained technicians, using the latest industry standard software, so that we can identify any potential issues and resolve them in the refurbishment process.
What refurbished products do you sell?
We offer a range of refurbished products at great prices. All our products go through a thorough in-house refurbishment process to ensure that you're receiving a great product for a fraction of the price.
We stock refurbished Laptops, Desktops & Monitors, from brands, such as Lenovo, HP, Dell, Apple & Microsoft and more, which can be viewed on our store.
All our refurbished products come with FREE delivery and a 12 month warranty!
Are all your refurbished items covered by a warranty?
Yes! We offer a FREE 12 month warranty on all of our refurbished products purchased through our tier1 Store.
Our warranty covers technical defects and faults with the hardware. It does not cover software or consumables, such as batteries or through misuse or accidental damage.
If the reported issues is covered by our warranty, we will exchange your faulty item for a replacement. If the same item is no longer available, we will offer an alternative.
What condition do you sell refurbished items in?
All of our refurbished items are tested and refurbished by our team of technicians. We then grade each item, before we list them on the tier1 Store.
Each item is graded as one of the following conditions:
- Grade A
- Grade B
- Grade B [Screen]
- Grade C
We are so confident in quality of our refurbished products, each one comes with a FREE 12 month warranty to give you extra peace of mind!

What does "NOT installed" or "NO OS or License" mean?
Some of our refurbished Laptops and Desktops are sold with a blank hard drive, which means no Operating System is installed. These items are shown on the tier1 Store, with 'Not Installed' or 'No OS or License' within the product title.
You will need to have the correct media and know-how to install Windows/Linux or any other operating system. We do not supply any media with these machines.

All our refurbished items are high quality and are fully tested and refurbished before they are sold to ensure they are in full working order.

We have been in business for years (est 1995) and online since 1999 so we are here to stay.
Where do the products come from?
"We source some our products from large corporate businesses and "refurbish" them which essentially means they are completely wiped of any data, then health checked, cleaned, checked again and graded depending on the wear and tear.
Some products are returns from large retail chains or even the manufacturer which again have been through our stringent checks before shipping.
What is in the box?
This of course depends on what you buy. Laptops & Tablets will come with a charger included unless otherwise. Desktops & Monitors will arrive with power cables (if purchased together, we will include a video cable to connect the PC to the Monitor)

As a general rule manuals are not included, but can be conveniently downloaded by searching for your model and "manual" i.e "HP 840 G5 manual"
Please note we do not provide media discs with PCs or Laptops unless specifically stated in the product.
What comes installed?
Where an operating system is installed this will be stated on the item, where no mention of an operating system is made, one will not be installed
PC/Laptops will not be pre-loaded with Office applications such as Word/Excel.
Please note for some orders you will need to manually activate your copy of Windows. In these cases, your licence sticker will be on the casing of the device. If a licence sticker is not on your device, a digital licence will have been applied meaning Windows activates automatically - therefore you will not have to worry about activating Windows manually.
Battery life?
Batteries are tested and confirmed as accepting a charge, we cannot guarantee the battery life of supplied batteries.
Where items are labelled as a "monitor" or "PC" with out specifics?
Some of the products that we offer are grouped together and you will receive one of a number of brands, all products will be of equivalent specification; we are not able to guarantee which make/manufacturer you will receive unless stated.
What warranty is included?
As standard on almost all products we provide a three month warranty, as well as the remainder of the manufacturer's warranty where available. Further warranty maybe included in the product description.

How can I pay?

How quickly will it arrive?
This depends on your chosen delivery type; but we will despatch your goods as quickly as possible in accordance with your chosen delivery type.
Orders placed over the weekend will be processed on Monday, all delivery times are Business/Working day and do not include weekends or bank holidays.
How is my order delivered?
We deliver all items by the most suitable method available to us, from Royal Mail 1st Class through to DPD Courier (depending on the value and size of the unit). For full information our delivery page is here.
What if I have a problem with my items?
Please contact us and we will help, please ensure that you have your tier1 order number and/or product details to hand to help us process your call quickly.
Do I get a keyboard and mouse with my desktop?
Our refurbished desktops are supplied with power cables (unless otherwise stated) only, however brand new desktops will include mouse and keyboard (this will be stated in the product specifications).

I have a promotion code, when do I use it?
Proceed through to the checkout and you will see a promotion code entry box - there is another opportunity on the last page of the checkout also
I have a promotion code, what can I use it on?
This will depend on your code, however most codes only apply to products graded A-C and not brand new items; you will need to confirm this with the website/email/letter that you received it on
